My High Jewelry Design Method
1. Concept and Direction
Each piece begins with a creative direction based on the project goals.
I define the theme, identify reference elements, and analyse volumes, materials and gemstones.
This step gives the design a solid foundation and a clear artistic intention.
2. Early Drawings and Form Exploration
I create multiple quick sketches to explore options and identify the strongest shapes.
This phase helps define proportions, balance, and the overall structure of the jewel before moving forward.
3. Detailed Color Drawings
I illustrate the chosen concept using detailed color drawings.
This step clarifies the relationship between stones, metal and volume, and gives clients or maisons a precise understanding of the piece before production begins.
4. Digital Modeling (CAD)
The design is then translated into a 3D model using CAD software.
This ensures accurate stone placement, realistic metal thickness, balance, ergonomics and feasibility.
3D modeling allows a full control of technical constraints while preserving the artistic vision.
5. Technical Documentation
I prepare technical sheets including measurements, stone lists, sections and manufacturing notes.
These documents guide the workshop and guarantee that the final piece matches the original design.
6. Production Follow-up
During manufacturing, I collaborate with the atelier to verify each stage: structure, assembly, setting and finishing.
The goal is to maintain design integrity and ensure the final jewel meets high jewelry standards.
Why This Process Works
This method brings together creativity, technical knowledge and workshop expertise.
It ensures each project is visually strong, structurally sound and aligned with luxury-level expectations.
